CHAPTER CHATTER

The Official Newsletter of the
Shenandoah Valley Chapter #313
Korean War Veterans Association
Paul E. Bombardier,  Editor
July, 2017

The Key Note address was presented by Narce Caliva, who is a member of our chapter as well as serving as Director, National KWVA. He told the audience about our respect and appreciation for those who died for our country and  thanked the families who

lost someone in past wars protecting our rights and liberty.  Narce also highlighted the extraordinary individuals who went beyond the call of duty and earned the Medal of Honor—our countries highest award, many who died while attempting to save their fellow soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen.

Chapter 313 had 14 members participating in the Parade, led by our Commander, Ray Ewing.  Ray is also a former Mayor of Stephens City.

Photo below shows this group in front of the restored 2 ½ ton truck they rode in this parade.
