Henry M. Mast
Henry M. Mast, 79, of Winchester, VA, formerly of Goshen, IN, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at the Winchester Medical Center. Mr. Mast was born Nov. 25, 1933, in Kosciusko County, IN, son of the late Martin E. Mast and Susie Hochstetler Mast.
He was a sales representative in the RV and mobile home industry. Mr. Mast served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a member of the Shenandoah Valley Chapter 313 Korean War Veterans Association, the Winchester Moose Lodge, and the First United Methodist Church of Winchester.
He married Linda C. Mast on June 27, 1964, in Goshen, IN.
Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Angie Haecker of Winchester, VA, and Dawn Brown of Tallahassee, FL; three brothers, Lester Mast of Nappanee, IN, Eli Mast of Shipshewana, IN, and Dave Mast of Fort Wayne, IN; two sisters, Ruby Ann Slabaugh of Howe, IN, and Clara Schwartz of Sturgis, MI; three grandchildren, Aaron Haecker, Katie Haecker, and Troy Morris; and one great-grandchild, Trenton Morris. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Arno Mast and Dana Mast, two brothers, Edward Mast and Willis Mast, and his sister, Edna Mae Kauffman.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at the Miller-Stewart Funeral Home in Middlebury, IN. Burial will follow with military honors. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shenandoah Valley Chapter #313-KWVA, 306 Ridge Road, Winchester, VA 22602 to aid the Korean War Memorial in Jim Barnett Park, Winchester, VA.
